Senior Minister:
Trent Sutcliffe
Trent oversees the parish as a whole as our senior minister. He is the pastor and main preacher at St Marys. Trent is married to Catherine and they have four children.
After working as a high school teacher, Trent studied at Moore College and has been at SMSC since 2016
Assistant, Youth and Children’s Minister:
Evan Moses
Evan is responsible for youth and kids ministry across the parish, and the pastor and main preacher at St Clair. Evan is married to Madi and they have two children.
After working in custom vehicles and then outdoor education, Evan studied at Youthworks College and Moore College before joining the SMSC team in 2020.
Administration Officer: Madi Moses
Madi joined the SMSC team in 2022 part-time to oversee our administration, database and compliance. Madi is married to Evan, and they have two children.
Madi attends St Clair, and her work day is Friday.
Prior to ministry, Madi trained as a nurse and a pastry chef.
Student Minister:
James Crossley
James is completing a Bachelor of Divinity at Moore College, and serves at our St Clair congregation. James is married to Leonie, and they have one child.
Before studying for ministry, James worked as an engineer in the rail industry.
SRE Minister:
Sophie Ormshaw
Sophie works part-time with us as a high-capacity SRE (school scripture) teacher. Sophie is a member of the St Clair congregation, where she also serves on the music and children’s team.
Sophie has attended SMSC all her life.

Ryan Nelson:
Year 13 Apprentice
Ryan is completing a Christian gap year with Year13. He attends and serves the St Marys 9:30am congregation, where he has served Jesus all his life.

The Well Apprentice:
Rob Saipa‘ia
Rob is completing a ministry apprenticeship with The Well Training Program and serving at SMSC. He attends and serves the St Marys 9:30am congregation. Rob works full-time as a warehouse worker to support himself, and is also studying at Laidlaw College in NZ.
